Simply Wed Events is the creation of Jaime
Lawton Bochet, an independent wedding consultant. She is originally from South Jersey, lived in Philadelphia for
6 years, and and currently resides in the Main Line suburbs of Philadelphia.
"I've always
been drawn to weddings - the romance, the beauty, the joyfulness of the occasion. Usually brides and grooms hire
me when the reality sinks in that behind the beauty and romance, there's a lot of work! That's where I come in.
"What I want most is to use the knowledge and contacts I've developed to
help brides and grooms and their families have the best possible experience - not just on their big day, but throughout
the entire planning process. The details and the challenges of wedding and party planning are so much fun for me, and I want
to remove some of the stress so that it can be fun and easy for them, too! Only when everyone is relaxed can they truly let
go and be in the moment, enjoying the day as they should.
"My clients continually compliment
my professional approach, patience and style, but I think what appeals to people most is seeing how much I truly love what
I do. One of my favorite moments at a wedding is when someone, usually a family member, comes up to me and says, 'I can't
believe you do this for a living' Now, I have a full-time job apart from being a wedding planner, so I love watching their
faces when I reply,'Oh, I don't do this for a living - I do this for fun!'"
